G’day! We’re Kez and Joel Whipp, the proud owners of Whippy’s Woodfired – our authentic Woodfired Pizza and Pasta Restaurant, Cafe & Bar.

As a true-blue Aussie couple with a heartfelt passion for traditional cooking, we’re culminating years of cheffing & building woodfired ovens into a cosy spot that honours wholesome food, strong family ties & the warmth of community spirit.

The service was A1 and the food was even better! A must try is the garlic bread!! The pizzas were amazing and the tiramisu was first class. We went in for a takeaway and stayed for a drink cos the bar was so inviting and the pizzas were so worth the not very long wait! And let’s talk about Joel — what an incredible host and operator. You can genuinely feel the passion he puts into his food and his business. Joel doesn’t just serve you dinner; he creates an experience, and he does it with so much warmth, personality and pride. Every dish we had was exceptional. Even the vegetables are wood-fired, giving them the most beautiful sweet, smoky flavour. And my linguine… WOW! 🍝 The prawns and seafood were so fresh, beautifully cooked and absolutely bursting with flavour. It was honestly some of the best Italian food I’ve enjoyed in a very, very long time. Joel has a real gift for flavour. Everything tasted fresh, generous and thoughtfully prepared — but what made the lunch  even more special was the man behind it all. Joel is genuinely one of those people who makes you want to come back not only for the food, but to see him again. And here’s something extra special: if you’re coming with a big group and planning to enjoy a few drinks or two… or three 😂🍷, Joel can even arrange pickup and drop-off in his limousine van! Now THAT is hospitality! Honestly, Woodford has a little gem here — and it deserves to be discovered. This is definitely one of Woodford’s best-kept secrets, and I’m more than happy to spread the word. Joel, congratulations on creating something so special. Stopped in at Whippy's Woodfired while passing through Woodford today and had an outstanding lunch experience. We started with the arancini, followed by the Pizza Burrata Con Acciughe. The combination of the yellow tomato base, anchovies, capers, olives, basil, and fresh burrata topped with sunrise cherry tomatoes was incredible. The staff were super polite and welcoming, and the hands-on service from the manager—who checked on every table and brought out complimentary fresh mini donuts for everyone—really took the experience to the next level. Exceptional food and unbeatable service. Can't recommend them enough!
